Veganism is gaining ground (hallelujah!!!).

It’s been named the biggest food trend and has risen in popularity by 987% since 2017 per The Vegan Society.

Yes, 987%! That’s not a typo.

Now is the best time to become vegan because it is simpler and frankly more delicious than ever. With all of this growth in the vegan trend brands are taking note and coming out with the most amazing vegan foods. They’re way better than we’ve ever seen before!

Here are 19 of the best new vegan items you should check out at your local grocery store!

Beyond Meat Ground Beef

Yes, the brand that took the vegan burger world by storm is doing it again in ground beef form!

This is sold in the meat department so be on the lookout. Ground beef is the largest segment of the beef industry so this new vegan version is super exciting. Think of all the possibilities – tacos, meatballs, chili!!! How could you not be excited about this!?

Beyond Meat Sausages

I KNOW – Beyond Meat has two spots on this list, but what can I say they’re killin it with the vegan meat alternatives

This sausage grills up perfectly and tastes great on a bun. It’s also good chopped up in spaghetti sauce.

I served this to my meat loving in laws and they didn’t even know it was vegan. If that’s not a sign of approval I don’t know what is.

FieldRoast Bratwurst

Have you ever tried to eat a vegan hot dog or bratwurst? They’re usually WAY too chewy and to be honest kind of gross.

That said, you may be reluctant to try another vegan alternative but this company has somehow done it. Their vegan dogs and brats taste exactly like the meat-based alternatives but with real veggies added in to the mix. DELICIOUS! They come in three flavors: Smoked apple sage, Mexican Chipotle, and Italian.

Microwaveable Meals from Gardein

I’ve always loved the brand Gardein; their crabless cakes are a favorite in our house.

Check out what they’re up to now… Single serving vegan bowls. And they don’t just have dinner meals but they also have breakfast.

The breakfast bowls are like Jimmy Dean went vegan. I loved the “sausage” and veggie breakfast bowl.

Outstanding Foods Pigless Bacon Chips

THANK YOU Outstanding Foods! This is a vegan bacon alternative!

YES, you read that right. It’s a vegan alternative of the only food that cheers for itself when you’re cooking it. (If you didn’t catch that, Google “Jim Gaffigan bacon”).

You can slap these babies on a slice of toast with some lettuce and tomatoes or any other place where you would have previously used bacon. They’re made with hearty mushrooms and then seasoned to the exact taste of bacon.

I now know what we’re having for lunch.

Every day.

Vegan Rob’s Canned Crisps

Vegan Pringles? Ok, I’m in. Now add some probiotics and a serving of veggies and I am totally sold. They come in three flavors – turmeric, asparagus, and wild rice. Go ahead and buy the variety pack on Amazon. You’ll be glad you did. Snack one, guilt none.

Impossible 2.0 Burger

Well, you knew I’d have to mention one of these amazing impostor burgers somewhere right? So why this brand? It’s so good, restaurants that serve them literally can’t keep them in stock.

Seriously, BURGER KING (home of the flame broiled Whopper) uses the Impossible Burger in their Impossible Whopper. Think what you may about BK, but America seems to think they know what they’re doing with those burgers, so if they approve of the Impossible Burger, who couldn’t?

As crazy as it sounds, the amazing texture and seasonings will trick your brain. I knew I wasn’t eating a burger but my mouth was telling me it WAS a burger. Strange and delicious at the same time.

Justin’s Nut Butter Covered Nuts

Justin’s has long been a favorite brand for their sophisticated, “tastes like it just came from a gourmet chocolate shop” chocolate-covered peanut butter cups and now they’re at it again!

These nuts are well…NUTS! So delicious and made with all organic ingredients. They come in two varieties; cashew and almond butter.

Ben and Jerry’s Non Dairy Pints

The fact that Ben and Jerry’s makes a line of non dairy ice cream is not new. But the unbelievable new flavors are! The newest additions to this delicious lineup include: chocolate salted and swirled, chocolate chip cookie dough, and chocolate caramel clusters. My favorite is the VEGAN cookie dough ice cream.

The Honest Stand Spicy Nacho Dip

Never has vegan cheese tasted so good. It also melts perfectly over loaded nachos. Be prepared though… this dip is SPICY (in a good way). Another reason this product makes the list is the fact you can easily pronounce every ingredient on the label. WIN.

If you really want to get crazy put a little of this on top of your Impossible 2.0 burger and be prepared to be blown away.

Wildbrine Brie

Vegan cheese usually has a bit of a weird aftertaste, but not this one. Their website says that it’s because the coconut and cashews are cultured or fermented which not only helps with the flavor but also gives this product a healthy dose of probiotics as well.

If you’re looking at their items in the grocery store their butter alternative is also worth checking out.

Loma Linda Fishless Tuna

One of the toughest parts about going vegan is the lack of convenience foods, which is why this product makes the list. It’s pretty much the vegan equivalent of Chicken of the Sea.

Best part though, there‘s no fish smell when you open the pouch! Put it on a sandwich, wrap, melt, casserole, pasta, or salad.. The possibilities are endless.

Sweet Earth Veggie Lover’s Pizza

What I like about this product is that it’s not just a good vegan pizza – it’s actually an awesome pizza in general. The cheese is so melty and delicious and the veggie seasoning is to die for. This is another great vegan convenience item to keep around for those emergency meals.

So Delicious Dairy Free Oat Milk Ice Cream

The So Delicious coconut ice creams are amazing so I knew this was going to be a hit even before it touched my lips. The thing about oat milk ice cream that is great is it’s good for you and it tastes WAY better than any other vegan option out there.

I especially like this flavor because it’s like a classy and cold peanut butter and jelly sandwich in every little bite. Of course, if you’re not a fan of PB&J they also have other amazing flavors like caramel apple… yum!

My Mo Mochi Cashew Cream Frozen Dessert

Ice cream cake has always been my kryptonite so don’t be surprised that you’re seeing another vegan ice cream option here. These are great because they’re like having a tiny yet delicious vegan Dairy Queen ice cream cake.

The huge bonus is that they’re sold at my local Aldi store so they’re convenient and affordable.

It’s kind of like finding Atlantis. If Atlantis were an amazing non-dairy ice cream that tastes great, that is.

Upton’s Naturals Jerky Bites

These taste just like jerky. What else is there to say?

Vegan jerky. There you go.

Not only do they taste great but they’re completely free of artificial flavors, GMOs, soy, trans fat and cholesterol. When we can find a great vegan product that also avoids the pitfalls of artificial ingredients that’s all the better.

They also have a whopping 8 grams of protein per serving and are low in fat! Snack away!

Modern Table’s White Cheddar Mac

This product is awesome for a multitude of reasons…

One, it’s ultra cheesy.

Two, it’s made with lentils so the kids are secretly getting a dose of protein.

Three, it’s another great vegan convenience food.

Now let’s not go so far as to say it’s super healthy, but if it has lentils it must be a little healthy, right?

Daiya Cheese Sticks

Before becoming vegan I always used to pack our family cheese sticks before going on a road trip. They were so easy to just toss in the backseat with some almonds and milk for a healthy snack.

Well now I can return to that tradition! These are so easy and they look and taste just like the cheese sticks I remember.

If you didn’t grow up on cheese sticks like I did, let me suggest a few great combinations:

Cheese stick and apple

Cheese stick and crackers

Cheese stick and pretzels

I think you get the idea… Thanks Daiya!

Good Catch Foods Vegan Crab Cakes

This company’s tagline is seafood without the sacrifice. No, they’re not a fish-friendly fish farm. They make true vegan alternatives to tuna, crab cakes, and fish burgers and sliders.

The fish in our oceans are in a lot of trouble. Did you know scientists believe that by 2048 our oceans will have no fish? This makes the need for vegan alternatives even more important.

The texture and flavor of these little guys are good enough for the fanciest wedding reception. And with a blend of lentils, chickpeas, fava beans, and other legumes you can be sure to feel good about not only the environment but your health as well.

All too often people think that going vegan means giving up all of their favorite foods, but there are more and more amazing plant based products coming out to fill those gaps. Not only are there tasty new options coming out every day, but they’re becoming available in more stores every day too.

Hopefully this list of products will get you more excited to go vegan or make your vegan eating that much better!
